The CAGE | Forward Shadow | VET

The CAGE hosted an event for veterans in Schuylkill County, opening their facility for the year and utilizing the nearby range for a clinic ran by Forward Shadow. I included a few clips with the Osprey drone to show off the great property they have available for pistol, rifle and long range courses.

There was also a range day back in November that I filmed with the new DJI Osmo - pretty slick little camera for chasing guys around at the range -

A range day for vets held Nov 2015 in Eastern Pennsylvania on the private shooting property of Forward Shadow, hosting instructors with various prior and current special operations experience. This video showcases some of the square-bay pistol and carbine shooting that was ongoing, but does not include the long-range facility and instruction that was also occurring on the property.

Clairton Action Shoot - Dec 2014

First Sundays of each month, FAST-Tactics hosts a 3-gun action shoot at Clairton Sportsman's Club just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.

4-5 stages of pistol, shotgun and carbine exercises suitable for shooters of all skill levels. The night before we ran it under night vision or flashlights after setting up.

There are also some aerial shots I threw into the mix with our quick Phantom/GoPro setup from Osprey.

Looks like Nick at TFB posted about his morning at the shoot, too - check it out.

Shooting Training Courses

Just updated the events section of the portfolio with a couple shots that I took while covering and participating in some training courses. I've partnered with a number of firearms trainers to provide them with high quality photos to include with their after action reports (AARs) and marketing materials. If you're a firearms educator, I'd love to come out and take some photos and video for you. I'll definitely be bringing my rifle along to learn something along the way, too :)

Here's where I upload galleries for student download and printing.

Provided aerial video services for Black Heart Consulting's Sniper Course.

Going aerial

I've recently gotten into the aerial flight and photography game with something called a Phantom 2 from DJI, who have an office in Austin, TX and are based out of Hong Kong. This particular multirotor has four motors and is operated by a set of joysticks over 2.4 GHz. It holds a GoPro Hero 3-series camera with a stabilized gimbal and I've set it up with a first-person-view (fpv) system that allows me to receive a live video feed at the ground.

It sure has been a blast, with a bunch of learning along the way. Here's a couple of stills:

And here's a few videos that I've put together of flights here in Pittsburgh and from a recent trip to the coast of Maine:
